candice for woolworths

We selected Candice Swanepoel to represent the brand because she’s a South African model who has attained worldwide success, being most well-known for being a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Her look, attitude, and achievements were well aligned with those of the RE: brand,’ said a spokesperson for Woolworths. ‘Far from being “just a pretty face”, she encapsulates the spirit of modern rebellion and the vibrant optimism of our time.’
The new campaign shows Candice modelling the RE: Festival Collection. The denim items illustrate a return to authentic indigo/blue denim and a washed ‘worn & torn’ aesthetic with denim-on-denim outfitting a key look.
The new slim ‘boyfriend’ jeans makes an appearance and we see lots of laundered and bleached garments as well as hammered fabrics for an aged appearance.
Bleached pastels, blues and white are key colour combinations with a black ‘glam’ element introduced for holiday dress-up. Think embellished pleather shorts and biker jackets.
Miss Swanepoel was spotted by a model scout at a Durban flea market at age 15. She was ranked number nine on Forbes’ The World’s Top-Earning Models list in 2013 with estimated earnings of $3.3 million.
The ‘Limited Edition’ RE: Candice shorts seen here are available exclusively at selected Woolworths stores from the end of November. They are available in six colours and different finishes including crochet and embroidery, and retail from R250.
Will you be getting yourself a pair?
